Southern Sweet Potato Casserole with Cereal and Pecan Crumble Topping

- 2 40 oz cans Canned Yams in Syrup
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup Melted Butter
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon
Crumble Topping
- 2 cup Life Cereal
- 2 cups Chopped Pecans
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 stick Butter
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Open your cans of yams and drain all but about a half cup of syrup. Add the syrup and yams to a mixing bowl. Add in brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon and salt. Mash and mix together until smooth and add to your casserole dish.
In a separate bowl, add your cereal, pecans, a cup of brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix together well and sprinkle over the top of your yam mixture.
Slice a half stick of butter into 1/2-inch slices and places them all over the top of your crumble. Bake for about 20 minutes. The crumble will be golden brown and the yams will be bubbly along the edges. Serve and enjoy!
