Ground Beef Potato Stroganoff

Ok. This ground beef and potato stroganoff. Yum. It’s just a classic dinner recipe. This is just a homemade potato hamburger helper. You’re going to brown some ground beef and layer it with cheese, cream of mushroom and thinly sliced potatoes. Cover and bake it for about an hour and you have it. This dinner is classic and it’s super easy to make.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 3-4 Large Russet Potatoes
  • 1 Yellow Onion, Chopped
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 1/2 cups Beef Broth
  • 3-4 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Seasonings
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large skillet, brown ground beef and chopped onion. Once it's fully cooked, drain off the fat and then mix in all of the listed seasonings.
  • Carefully using a sharp kitchen knife or a mandolin, peel and slice potatoes into thin slices. In another separate bowl, mix together cream of mushroom soup, beef broth and heavy cream.
  • In the skillet, layer some potatoes then beef then cheese and keep repeating until the skillet is full. Slowly pour over the cream of mushroom mixture over the top and let it seep through the layers. Cover with foil and bake for around an hour.
  • Remove foil, top with more cheese, and broil for 5-7 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!
