Basil Whipped Feta with Mixed Berries and Honey

This basil whipped feta with mixed berries and honey recipe is the most perfect indulging treat. The creamy and freshness of the basil whipped feta with the sweetness of the honey and berries is the perfect flavor combo. Top it all off with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for the perfect kick! I honestly made this just for myself. However, it would be perfect for a party!

Equipment

  • Food Processor
  • Serving Bowl
  • Spreader Knife
  • Spoon
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 10 oz Feta Cheese
  • 1 block Cream Cheese
  • 1 +/- cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Chopped Basil
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Fresh Strawberries
  • 3 tbsp Jam (I used Raspberry)
  • Honey
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • Fresh Basil Leaves (Garnish)

Instructions

  • Add feta, cream cheese, seasonings, sugar, and fresh chopped basil to a food processor. Make sure that your cream cheese is soft. Pulse and let it all roughly come together. Turn the processor on low and slowly add your heavy whipping cream until a thick, creamy, spread consistency is reached. You may need more or less than a cup of the heavy whipping cream.
  • With a spoon or spatula, scoop all of the feta onto your plating dish. Take the back of a spoon and mush the cheese into a circular shape, creating a bowl in the center. Add your jam and strawberries. Drizzle honey back and forth over the top of the spread. Then add more fresh basil and sprinkle red pepper flakes for added heat.
  • Serve with toasts, crackers or fruit and enjoy!

Notes

This recipe can be served with many different items. I sliced up a French Baguette loaf, drizzled with olive oil and Italian seasoning, and baked at 350 for around 8~ minutes. It was the perfect thing to serve with the dip.
The feta dip itself will last in the refrigerator for several days. You can make it ahead, and then add the toppings before each individual use.
