Equipment

  • 9x13 Casserole Dish
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Kitchen Knife

Ingredients

  • 10-12 Small Croissants
  • 8 oz Thinly Sliced Honey Ham
  • 8 oz Swiss Cheese
  • 10 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Half and Half
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh Thyme
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 casserole dish. Break your croissants into smaller chunks and place them in the dish. Tear your slices of ham into smaller pieces and assort them in between the pieces of croissant. If you are using slices, cut cheese slices into small bits and sprinkle them on top of the bread and ham. Sprinkle the same way if you are using shredded Swiss cheese.
  • In a mixing bowl, place eggs, half and half, thyme and seasoning into the bowl and whisk thoroughly. Pour all over the bread, ham and cheese mixture. Shake the dish so that the mixture reaches all the sides and the bottom.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake on 350 for 20 minutes. Remove foil after the first 20 is up and bake for another 20 minutes uncovered. Remove from oven. Serve warm, and garnish each serving with powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Notes

This Recipe Can Be Made Ahead:
This casserole is the perfect dish to make ahead of time, especially for a large crowd. Just assemble your casserole, cover and place it in the fridge overnight. Bake at 350 the next morning. However, I would not store it uncooked in the fridge for longer than 24 hours.
This Recipe Can Be Frozen:
After this recipe is cooked, you can cut this casserole into square and wrap them up individually really well with plastic wrap. Then, place them in a large gallon-sized freezer bag. Take them out and wrap in a paper towel and heat in the microwave for 30 second intervals until warmed.
Use Another Type of Cheese:
If you don't have nor want to use Swiss cheese, substitute for Cheddar, American or whatever kind you would like.
