Homemade Spicy Salsa

You will love this quick and easy homemade spicy salsa. It's so fresh and has the perfect amount of heat. Some fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, a yellow onion, and some spices is all you need! Blend it up to create this easy dip! This homemade salsa has no cilantro in it, for those who are not crazy about it. This recipe is perfect to make if you have a lot of fresh tomatoes. Equipment

  • Large Food Processor and Blender
  • Airtight Container
  • Chef's Knife
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Large Ripe Tomatoes
  • 2 Jalapeños
  • 1 Yellow Onion
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/4 cup Lime Juice
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder

Instructions
 

  • Add tomatoes to a large food processor or blender. Blend on high until they are completely emulsified. Then, cut and seed jalapeños and add them and your onion to the blender. Blend on high for a minute until they are completely cut up and mixed in as well.
  • Add the rest of your ingredients to the blender, including your lime juice, garlic and seasonings. Mix on low until it all comes together. Transfer to a mason jar or an airtight container. Store for up to one week in the refrigerator. Enjoy!

Notes

How long will it stay good?
This salsa will stay good in an airtight container in the fridge for about a week.
Foamy:
The salsa may be a bit foamy immediately after blending. Let it sit for a few minutes and that settle and will go away.
