Slow Cooker Red Wine Braised Short Ribs

These red wine braised short ribs are the perfect slow cooker meal. It's heart beef short ribs cooked for hours in a mix of red wine, beef broth, thyme and other seasonings. Add in some carrots and mushrooms for added flavor and extras. I served them over mashed potatoes and it was amazing. I'm telling you; this has to be one of the fanciest crockpot meals I've ever made, and the meat is fall-off-the-bone good.

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 lbs Bone-In Beef Short Ribs
  • 3 Large Carrots, Sliced
  • 16 oz Brown Mushrooms, Sliced
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 14.5 oz Beef Broth
  • 1 tbsp Thyme
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a large crockpot.
  • Cook on high for at least 6 hours. Remove rib bones. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

What to Pair beef short ribs with?
The short ribs will come out a lot like a roast. Very tender and pulled apart. I served them over mashed potatoes.
