Equipment You’ll Need
There’s not a whole on how to make short ribs in a slow cooker. You’ll obviously need a crockpot. You’ll need a large one. Probably at least seven quarts. Then you’ll need a sharp kitchen knife. I’ve linked my favorite one below. That’s honestly about it!
Ingredients You’ll Need
Short Ribs:
You’ll need about four pounds of bone-in beef short ribs.
Carrots:
You’ll need about 3 large carrots. You’ll need to slice them before adding them to the pot.
Brown Mushrooms:
You’ll slice about 16 ounces of brown mushrooms. You can leave them whole if you prefer.
Red Wine:
I added in one cup of red wine. You can use usual wine or cooking wine. Of course, I had drinking red wine.
Beef Broth:
I used a 14 and a half ounce can of beef broth.
Seasonings:
As for seasonings, I used thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
