This bacon ranch pasta salad is my favorite food to always have on hand in my refrigerator. I’m telling y’all…this pasta salad is so good and keeps so well. It’s a simple mix of pasta, mayo, sour cream, real bacon bits and a packet of ranch dip mix. This is perfect to serve as a lunch or a dish for a function.
I seriously love this pasta salad. I feel like there are a million ways to make pasta salad, but this is one of my favorites. I don’t know what it is about it that’s so good. Maybe the ratio of mayo or sour cream? The dip mix? I don’t know. However, this is the simplest and most delicious pasta salad out there.
Equipment You’ll Need
You’ll need something to boil your pasta with. Then, a mixing bowl and spoon is all else you’ll need. If you plan on having leftover or storing it, an airtight lid container would be idea.
Ingredients You’ll Need
Rotini Pasta:
You’ll need 12 ounces of rotini colored pasta. This is the pasta I prefer, but you can use another if you wish.
Mayonnaise:
You’ll need two heaping tablespoons of mayonnaise.
Sour Cream:
You’ll need one tablespoon of sour cream.
Real Bacon Bits:
I use storebought real bacon bits. They are delicious, and easier than frying your own.
Ranch Dip Mix:
I used a Hidden Valley ranch dip mix for seasonings. This packet is different than just the typical dressing mix.
