Why You’ll Love This Broccoli Cranberry Salad
No Mayonnaise
If you don’t like mayo, this is the perfect salad without mayonnaise! So many spring salads are packed with a mayonnaise-based dressing.
It’s easy to make
This broccoli salad with cranberries honestly took me about 10 minutes total to make. It’s super quick and easy for a last-minute side dish for Spring.
It’s a super Flavorful side dish for spring
This salad is packed with flavor. It’s light and springy with the fresh broccoli, craisins, and onion, yet balanced with rich ingredients such as feta, walnuts and bacon bits. Add the tangy dressing for such a light, yet savory broccoli cranberry walnut salad.
Equipment You’ll Need
If you want to make this recipe for broccoli salad with craisins, this broccoli and feta salad is the one to make. It does not hardly use any equipment, and cleanup is a breeze. I used a big bowl with an airtight lid, because I always have leftovers. I also used a small bowl to make my olive oil dressing in. These are the exact smaller bowls I have, but this dressing shaker would also work just as well!
Ingredients You’ll Need
There are many ways to make this broccoli salad with dried cranberries. You could substitute the cranberries for raisins to make a traditional broccoli raisin salad. Personally, I love the cranberries. I used the storebought real bacon bits. You can fry the bacon yourself and simply crumble them into bits and pieces. However, just be aware of extra grease. Also, if you don’t have walnuts, I feel like sunflower seeds or pecans would be delicious too!
I am notorious for making “throw together” salads to go with a main at dinner time. There are a lot of different ways you technically could make this salad. However, if you’re going to the grocery store, I would recommend buying these exact ingredients.
