This chicken bacon ranch pizza is so good. A creamy, homemade ranch sauce made with ricotta and cream topped with shredded rotisserie chicken, fresh cooked juicy bacon and blend of cheeses. Make a homemade crust or use storebought like I did. This pizza is so different that the usual pizza recipes and takes less than 30 minutes to make. You’ll want to make it over and over again.
I love making homemade pizzas. My friend has a pizza oven and I love her homemade pizza recipes. She makes one that has a creamy alfredo with caramelized onions. Oh my gosh it’s so good…I like a good non-traditional pizza and that’s exactly what this recipe is. I started with a storebought pizza crust dough. Topped it with a homemade ranch sauce I thought of my own. It’s a packet of ranch seasonings mixed into some ricotta cheese and sour cream. It’s so light and perfect for this.
I topped it with some rotisserie chicken and fresh cooked bacon pieces, a blend of Monterrey jack and cheddar cheese, and some diced tomatoes. I liked the tomatoes on top. I think it adds some freshness and texture to each bite. I then finished it off with green onions and red pepper flakes. Allen and I crushed this pizza so fast. It was delicious and something out of the box!
Equipment You’ll Need
So for this chicken bacon ranch pizza recipe, all you’re really going to need is a pizza dish, and something to cut the pizza with. I linked my favorite cast iron pizza dish here below. If you’ve read any of my posts before, then you know that I love a cast iron. This gets the crust really hot and crispy on the bottom.
Ingredients You’ll Need
Pizza Crust Dough:
I used a storebought thin-crust pizza dough. You can find it in the refrigerator section by the biscuits and cookies. It was so easy to roll out and use.
Pizza Sauce:
For the sauce, I mixed together ricotta cheese, sour cream and ranch seasonings. I just used a ranch packet. This makes for the best and creamiest sauce! So good.
Toppings:
I used a rotisserie chicken, some thick cut bacon cooked pieces, Monterrey jack and cheddar cheese. I loved the fresh tomatoes on top, but you can omit them if you want. I just feel like it adds a freshness to the pizza.
How to Make Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza
What temperature to bake your pizza?
You’ll want to preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Step one:
Grease a pizza pan and roll out your pizza dough into a circle. Barely roll up the edges of the pizza dough. This will create your “crust.”
step two:
In a small bowl, mix together ricotta, sour cream and ranch seasoning. Spread it all into the middle of the dough as your sauce.
step three:
Add your shredded chicken and bacon on top of the sauce. Then layer with both cheeses. Add your chopped tomato. Brush the outer edges of the dough with melted butter.
step four:
Add to the oven and bake for around 15-20 minutes or until dough looks niced and golden brown. Cheese should be totally melted.
step five:
Serve immediately with chopped green onion and/or red pepper flakes. Enjoy!
