Lemon Roasted Asparagus FAQs
How to Cook Asparagus on a Pan?
It’s really simple. I cut off the ends of the asparagus, toss them in plenty of olive oil, season them up then drizzle them with some lemon juice and roast them in the oven on 350.
How to know when asparagus is done?
I know when the asparagus is done, because it will have a translucent look. It will also become a greener color. This is will be the texture to where the asparagus will be fully cooked, and still have a bite to it. It won’t be a flimsy texture. You will need to roast longer if that’s the texture you desire!
Equipment You Will Need
The only thing you’ll really need to make this asparagus is a baking pan or dish and a chefs’ knife to trim off of the ends. I made mine in my oval Staub dish. However, I tend to switch it back and forth. The end result is the same, and it really just depends on what else I am cooking or using at the time!
Ingredients You Will Need
Asparagus:
I used two bunches of fresh asparagus. I always cut off the rough ends before cooking!
Olive Oil:
I used an ample amount of extra virgin olive oil. You won’t want your asparagus to be swimming in it, but it needs to be very coated!
Seasonings:
I have my own seasonings blend that I always use that I really need to post a recipe for. I use the same seasonings all the time. It’s just a mix of salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, paprika, and lemon pepper.
Lemon:
You’ll cut a lemon in half and drizzle the fresh juice on the asparagus. I always bake the lemon on my pan.
