Some of you may be wondering what is broccolini? It’s a hybrid of regular broccolini that has a mild flavor and a crunchy, longer stem. I can typically find it in the local grocery stores in the summertime. I love cooking it as a simple side. It’s just something different than traditional broccoli. Plus, it’s delicious.

Equipment You’ll Need

As for equipment, you’ll need a baking sheet, a small microwaveable bowl and maybe a basting brush. I tagged the one I used below. It’s Le Creuset, and I love using it. If you don’t have one no worries. You can just toss the broccolini in the butter.

Ingredients You’ll Need

Broccolini:

You’ll need two bunches of broccolini. These don’t come in heads like traditional broccoli. They are wrapped in bunches or bundles. I used two for this recipe, but you can always use more or less.

Butter:

I used a half stick of butter. I used salted butter.

Minced Garlic:

You’ll need a tablespoon of minced garlic.

Seasonings:

As for seasonings, you’ll need salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder.

How to Make This Simple Roasted Broccolini

step one:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Wash and arrange your broccolini on a large baking sheet.

step two:

Add the butter and remainder of the ingredients to a small microwaveable bowl. Heat for 30 to 60 seconds until butter is melted. Use a basting brush to add the butter all over the broccolini. If you don’t have a brush, you can toss the broccolini in the butter.

step three:

Bake at 375 for 15 to 20 minutes. You’ll see the florets start to turn brown and roasted. Remove from the oven. Serve and enjoy!
