This southern tuna salad with egg is the best there is. Nothing complicated. No crazy ingredients. Just a simple old, school recipe.
I love a simple tuna salad recipe. This one is seriously the best. All you’ll need is tuna, mayo, some red onion, a stick of celery, dill relish and a few seasonings. I feel like tuna salad is one of those things that anything goes. You can add so much to it. I love the simplicity of this one. It’s just right.
Equipment You’ll Need
As for equipment, you’ll need a large mixing bowl, a large spoon, some measuring cups and a pot to boil your eggs in.
Ingredients You’ll Need
Canned Tuna:
You’ll need four 5-ounce cans of tuna in water. You’ll need about 20 ounces total.
Boiled Eggs:
You’ll need four boiled eggs.
Celery:
You’ll need one celery stick. You’ll peel the strings off and chop them.
Red Onion:
You’ll need about a quarter to a half of red onion, chopped.
Mayonnaise:
You’ll need about a quarter of a cup of mayonnaise.
Seasonings:
The seasonings you’ll need are salt, pepper, and sugar.
Dill Relish:
You’ll need about two tablespoons of dill relish.
How to Make This Tuna Salad Recipe with Egg

Boil Eggs in a small pot, peel and set aside. Chop your boiled eggs, onion, and celery stick.

In a large bowl, combine mayo, seasonings, tuna and relish. Mix well.
step three:
Fold in onion, eggs and celery. Stir well and serve by itself, as a salad or as a sandwich. Enjoy!
