Being so simply made, all you do is simply dump the crackers along with all the other ingredients in a bowl and shake, shake, shake. Let the sit overnight for the best results. Read along to see how I made these irresistible snacks.
Why These Spicy Ranch Crackers Are the Best!
They are easy to make
I love these hot crackers with ranch because they are so easy to make. You literally dump all the ingredients into a large bowl, put the lid on, and shake several times and that’s it!
They are a good crowd pleaser
These are a perfect snack for any crowd or gathering. I like to put them in a small bowl and just leave them out. They always disappear fast!
They are freakin’ good
These are so good you won’t be able to keep your hands off them! I never can keep a batch long, and they are gone.
Questions you might have…
Do you have to use the mini saltines?
No. Other options that would work well are the mini butter crackers, oyster crackers, or even the full-size crackers. You want something with a mild flavor that will be able to soak up the oil well.
What is the best thing to prepare these in?
Any type of container with a lid. You can use a large pickle jar, a large food storage container or you can also use a large Ziplock bag. You want something that you can toss the crackers around in.
Substitute for the canola oil:
Yes, I know. It’s not healthy. You can substitute it for any light oil. You can use avocado oil, sunflower oil, peanut oil or a light olive oil.
How to store these spicy ranch crackers:
I typically just keep them in the container I made them in. You can store them in any airtight container. They should stay fresh for up to a week.
Equipment You’ll Need
These are spicy ranch crackers no bake. There is no cooking required, no baking required. All you’ll need is a large bowl with an airtight lid. Then, you’ll need a measuring cup to measure your oil then maybe a spatula. However, when I mixed mine together, I just tossed the bowl around.
Ingredients You’ll Need
Crackers:
I made this particular recipe for hot crackers with saltines. I used the mini ones. However, you could use the original ones, Cheese-Itz, Ritz. Or you could make spicy ranch oyster crackers. It’s totally up to you.
Pretzels:
I used pretzel sticks. I felt like they worked best in this recipe.
Oil:
If you make these ranch crackers with oil, I would personally use a canola or vegetable oil. I know these aren’t the healthiest options, but I think they’ll make for a better flavor. If you use olive oil, use the extra light tasting version.
Ranch Seasoning:
I used a packet of the spicy ranch seasoning. However, you could use the original or the fiesta flavored ones.
Red Pepper Flakes:
I used two tablespoons or red pepper flakes. You can use more or less depending on the level of spiciness you’re looking for.
Parmesan Cheese:
I used 1/4 of a cup of grated parmesan cheese. I used the powdery, pizza grated kind that comes in a bottle. This is not to be mistake for actually shredded parmesan.
