Louisiana Strawberry Pecan Salad with Pepper Jelly Vinaigrette

This strawberry pecan salad with pepper jelly vinaigrette is literally so good. You can also make this salad any time of year. All you’re going to need is a bed of greens, some strawberries, feta cheese, roasted pecans and then make this homemade vinaigrette made with pepper jelly. It’s so simple to make and delicious.
I’m always trying to come up with new salad recipes. Allen and I love to eat a salad with most of our meals. It’s just a thing we do. We always have a side salad. This one is so simple and delicious. You can add a protein, like some grilled chicken or shrimp, and make a meal out of it, too.
Equipment You’ll Need
For this recipe, all you’re going to need is basically a sharp kitchen knife, a smaller bowl or a mason jar and a large bowl. That’s basically it. Then once you’re finished, you can just wash them all off. I love recipes that are simple and won’t mess up the kitchen.
Ingredients You’ll Need
Mixed Salad Greens:
You’ll need about three cups of mixed greens as a base.
Strawberries:
I used about a half a pound of strawberries. I sliced them into fourths.
Roasted Pecans:
You’ll need about a half cup of roasted pecans.
Feta Cheese:
You’ll need another half cup of crumbled feta cheese.
Avocado:
I used a whole, fresh avocado. I sliced it into thinner slices.
Pepper Jelly Vinaigrette:
For the pepper jelly vinaigrette, I used a spicy peppery jelly. I used one made by Tabasco. Then, I used olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and a few seasonings.
How to Make This Louisiana Strawberry Pecan Salad with Pepper Jelly Vinaigrette
step one:
Add a bed of mixed greens to a large salad bowl. Slice your strawberries into slices about a quarter of an inch thick. Add them to your bowl. Add feta and pecans, as well.
step two:
For the pepper jelly vinaigrette, add all the ingredients into mason jar close the lid and shake it up. Slowly pour the dressing over your salad. Top with some black pepper and salt. Serve and enjoy!

- 2 tbsp Spicy Pepper Jelly
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinager
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Instructions
