This summer cantaloupe salad with prosciutto and burrata. It’s perfect for this time of year. I love a melon salad, and this one pairs perfect with the savory flavors of the prosciutto and creamy burrata cheese. Drizzle a balsamic and fresh cracked salt and pepper for the finishing touch. So good.
I’m always looking for new salad recipes. I typically fix a salad most every night. Allen and I just like a salad with our main course. This melon prosciutto salad is great for the summer months when cantaloupe is in season. I love that it just pairs perfectly with the prosciutto and burrata. They are two of my favorites. This salad is super simple to assemble and just something different.
Equipment You’ll Need
As for equipment, you’ll need a large salad bowl, some salad tongs and I used a melon baller. You don’t have to, but do if you have one. I felt like it made the salad pretty. If you don’t, don’t worry about it! You can cut the cantaloupe as usual.
Ingredients You’ll Need
Lettuce:
I used a mix of greens and butter lettuce. You can use whatever you’d like.
Cantaloupe:
I used about a half of the cantaloupe. You can use more or less.
Cherry Tomatoes:
I used a cup of cherry tomatoes.
Prosciutto:
You’ll need about 4 to 5 slices of prosciutto.
Burrata Cheese:
I used one ball of burrata mozzarella cheese.
Balsamic:
I used balsamic glaze, but you can use vinegar if that’s what you have. They both taste great and have the same effect on this salad.
Salt and Pepper:
You’ll want some fresh salt and pepper over the top of the salad.
How to Make This Summer Cantaloupe Salad

Slice your cantaloupe in half and use the melon baller or a knife to cut it into small pieces.
