I love these Panola Pepper sweet and spicy jalapenos. I’ve used them for so much. Some friends of ours own this pepper company, and they have lots of great sauces. I used a whole jar for these lil smokies. They just go with this recipe. The sweetness pairs so well with the grape jelly and BBQ and it adds just a tiny and perfect amount of heat.

Equipment You’ll Need

I’ve included two different ways to make these. You can make them in a skillet for an immediate way to serve them or serve them out of a crockpot for a party or cookout. Either way, both methods are super simple and easy to clean up.

Ingredients You’ll Need

Lil Smokies Cocktail Weenies

You’ll need 28 ounces of lil smokies. I used the regular pork ones, you can also also use the beef weenies if you prefer.

Spicy Sweet Candied Jalapenos:

I used one jar of the spicy sweet, candied jalapenos from Panola. It’s about 4 to 5 ounces total.

BBQ Sauce:

You’ll need three quarters of a cup of barbecue sauce.

Brown Sugar:

I used about two tablespoons of brown sugar.

Grape Jelly:

I also used about three tablespoons of grape jelly. I love cooking lil smokies with grape jelly.

Dijon Mustard:

I believe I used about a tablespoon of Dijon mustard. This just gives it a little more tangy flavor.

Soy Sauce:

A little soy sauce to even out all the sweetness.
