This burrata toast with honey and prosciutto. Mhmmm. The best of the burrata appetizers. It’s a big loaf of Italian seasoned bread cut in half and topped with prosciutto, honey, onions baked until it’s crispy. Top it off with more honey, fresh burrata and arugula. Crack some black pepper and red pepper flakes for the best toasty appetizer.
I like Burrata. I could make a meal out of it. Seriously…not kidding. But I really, could very easily make a meal out of this honey toast. This is a great and quick appetizer. Just throw it together and serve. Super simple and no complicated ingredients.
Equipment You’ll Need
All you’ll need for this recipe is a bread knife and a baking sheet.
Ingredients You’ll Need
Italian Garlic Herb Loaf of Bread:
You’ll need an Italian seasoned loaf of French bread.
Butter:
You’ll need a half stick of butter to put first on the bread.
Prosciutto:
You’ll need about 4 ounces of prosciutto.
Onion:
I used a mix of pears onions sliced thinly but you can use whatever onions you’d like.
Burrata:
You’ll need two balls of fresh burrata mozzarella cheese.
Honey:
Honey. I drizzled honey on before and after I baked the bread.
Arugula:
You’ll need some fresh arugula. The peppery flavor perfectly pairs with everything on this toast with honey.
Seasonings:
For seasonings, you don’t need a lot since your bread is already seasoned but I topped with fresh cracked black pepper and red pepper flakes.
