Enjoy a comforting creamy chicken tortellini soup, perfect for busy nights with its simple preparation and hearty ingredients.
This creamy chicken tortellini soup is a perfect comfort food. This is essentially just a creamy chicken noodle soup but made with cheese tortellini. The tortellini creates a rich and hearty take on a classic soup.
I love it when it gets to be soup season. I am a cold weather person. I would much rather it be cold than hot. Too bad I live in Louisiana. Anyway, with that being said, I love a good soup. This recipe is so simple and fast to make. It’s basically just a creamy chicken noodle. However, you’ll substitute the plain noodles with cheese tortellini pasta. It comes out so good!

This recipe will store well in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. I would not recommend freezing this soup. I’m not sure how the tortellini would turn out.

I used a 36-ounce bag of frozen cheese tortellini. You can use fresh if you’d prefer. You can also use any type of tortellini. I felt like the cheese went best with this recipe.
Seasonings
As far as seasonings go, I used salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, poultry seasonings, Italian seasonings, and some chicken bullion.
