Ingredients You’ll Need

Leftover Steak:

I used I think about two cups worth of chopped leftover steak. There’s really no rules to this or the amount, the cut of beef, etc.

White Rice:

It will end up being about 3 cups of cooked and cooled white rice. You’ll make about a cup and half of dry white rice.

Frozen Mixed Vegetables:

I used a frozen bag of mixed vegetables. There are several different types of veggies, so be sure to get the one with corn, carrots, peas and green beans.

Eggs:

You’ll need to scramble 4 eggs to add them into your fried rice.

Yellow Onion & Minced Garlic:

You’ll need a half of a yellow onion and a tablespoon of minced garlic. This just adds flavor to the pot.

Butter:

Why not? I use butter for everything. This just helps the soy sauce bind to the rice and gives it more flavor.

Soy Sauce:

You’ll need a third of cup of soy sauce.

Brown Sugar:

I used two tablespoons of brown sugar. I added them to my soy sauce them poured it over the top. I liked the hint of sweetness it gives.
