These lemon parmesan green beans are the best side vegetable. They are fresh green beans topped with garlic, butter, lemon, and grated parmesan cheese. Just dump them all in a dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes. So simple and the best side dish.
You can’t be green beans. Overall, they’re just really simple to make. All this recipe calls for is some fresh green beans, lemons, minced garlic, grated parmesan cheese. I put in a little bit of chicken broth to help steam them up a bit. That’s literally it. Dump them in the pan, season them up real good and top with grated parmesan cheese. That’s all there is to it.
Equipment You Will Need
All that you need is a casserole dish for these green beans with parmesan. I ended up using a serving fork to serve them with and that’s pretty much all you’ll need. I’m bad about eyeballing everything, so I don’t use measuring cup However, you really don’t need any for this recipe.
Ingredients You Will Need
Fresh Green Beans:
You’ll need a pound or a bunch or a bag of fresh green beans. However, they come. You’ll see them in your produce section.
Chicken Broth:
I used half a cup of chicken broth. This will help steam and cook the vegetables and give them a little flavor.
Butter:
You’ll need 3 tablespoons of butter, slice them, and then lay them over the top of the green beans.
Lemon:
You’ll need one whole lemon. Slice it in half then empty the juice over the top of the green beans. I leave the rind in while it’s baking.
Minced Garlic:
You’ll need minced garlic. I used a tablespoon and just scattered it over the top.
Grated Parmesan Cheese:
You’ll need some grated parmesan cheese. Like the powdery kind that comes in a bottle. No particular amount, just cover the top with it.
Seasonings:
Seasonings you’ll need salt, garlic and onion powder. No particular amount I just put so I just sprinkled it over the top.
