Simple Baked Pears
These simple baked pears are easy to make in the oven and will warm you up on chilly autumn days. Fall is in the air and these delicious baked pears remind me of that time of year. The perfect combination of sweetness and spice, they’re a great way to celebrate the holidays! They’re filling enough to make a whole meal, but they are truly just snacks if you’re done eating them by themselves.
Equipment You Will Need
All you will need is an oval baking dish and all the ingredients needed to make this simple baked pear recipe in less than 20 minutes. Find out how to make it by reading below! I always use my Staub oval baking dish. I have the third option of the links below; the red trio of dishes. However, you can use which ever baking dish you’d like!
Ingredients You Will Need
- 4 Pears
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Pumpkin Spice
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cup Chopped Pecans
- 1/4 cup Water
- Vanilla Ice Cream
How to Bake Pears
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Slice each pear in half and scoop out the core with a spoon. Be sure and remove the stem. Place them in your baking dish core side up.
Step 2
Place a sliver of butter on each pear. Drizzle your honey over the top of them all, making sure each is nicely coated. Then, sprinkle on your brown sugar, cinnamon and pumpkin spice. Place a quarter of a cup of water at the bottom of the dish. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Remove foil and place the pecans on top of the pears. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the pears are nice and bubbly on top. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Enjoy!

Notes
