These crispy baked lemon pepper wings are the perfect appetizer or main course. I love wings. I swear I could eat so many of them. These are perfectly baked in a blend of fresh lemon zest, seasonings and lots of pepper. Add in some baking powder to give that skin the perfect crunch and texture. These are so good and so easy you’ll want to make them over and over again.
I really love wings. They are such a guilty pleasure of mine. I could seriously eat so many in one sitting and not even feel bad about it one bit. I love this lemon pepper wing recipe. You’ll pat the wings dry with a paper towel then coat them really good in salt. Then toss them toss them in the homemade lemon pepper rub.
I really like using baking powder in all that I bake and fry. This just gets any breading or skin so perfectly crispy. You’ll use baking powder in your mix and it makes these wings so crunchy and delicious.
Equipment You’ll Need
For this lemon pepper wings recipe, you’ll need obviously a baking pan, a zester and a large bowl. You may or may not need some measuring spoons or cups. I usually just eyeball it, but a lot of people like to use the exact amount. You may also want to use some parchment paper so that the wings don’t stick.
Ingredients You’ll Need
Chicken Wings:
You’ll need a pack of chicken winglets. I think they come in a pack of 12. Typically, most people are going to want to make more than 12 wings at a time. The seasonings for this recipe could honestly probably cover 2-3 dozen.
Salt:
Once you pat all the winglets dry, you’ll sprinkle salt all over them.
Lemon Pepper Seasonings:
For seasonings, you need the zest from a whole lemon, some black pepper, white pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, flour and baking powder. You’ll toss all the wings in the seasonings before baking.
