Equipment You’ll Need

For this recipe, you’re obviously going to need a large pot to boil your pasta in. Then, I used my favorite Staub braiser to make my Velveeta cheese sauce in and bake my pasta. Seriously, this is my most used item in my kitchen. You’ll also need some measuring cups and a spoon or spatula for stirring!

Ingredients You’ll Need

Elbow Macaroni:

You’ll need a 16-ounce box of elbow macaroni pasta.

Evaporated Milk:

You’ll need one can of evaporated milk. You’ll need one that 12 ounces in size.

Velveeta Cheese:

You’ll need half a traditional block or one small block of Velveeta cheese. You’ll need 16 ounces in total.

Seasonings:

For seasonings, I used sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Breadcrumbs:

I used two different types of breadcrumbs. I used one cup of Italian breadcrumbs and one cup of Panko breadcrumbs for my topping.

Butter:

You’ll need one stick of butter for your crumb topping. I used salted butter.

How to Make This Velveeta Mac and Cheese Recipe

step one:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Boil pasta according to directions, drain and set aside.

step two:

In a separate skillet, add evaporated milk, Velveeta cheese, and seasonings. Mix well until cheese is fully melted. Then, fold your pasta into the cheese sauce. You can bake it in the skillet, if its oven safe, or transfer it to a 9×9 baking dish.

step three:

Melt your stick of butter, then add it to a bowl with both types of breadcrumbs. Mix well then sprinkle over the top of the mac and cheese.

step four:

Bake for around 15 minutes. You want the breadcrumbs nice and brown and the sides bubbly. Serve and enjoy!
