I love these southern green beans. This is such an easy side dish recipe that takes no time to make. It’s canned green beans with some bacon, brown sugar, butter and spices. Bake for about 25 minutes until the bacon is cooked and all the flavors come together. You can’t beat this southern green beans recipe.
I love this easy southern green bean side dish. It’s always quick and easy to whip up. It’s sort of a dump recipe. Just open the cans and dump them and the seasonings into the casserole dish. Plus, these southern style green beans are not just easy for a busy night, they are super delicious. Super savory packed with bacon with a hint of sweetness from the brown sugar.
Equipment You’ll Need
All you’ll really need for this recipe is a casserole dish. I used the oval one from Staub that I’ve linked below. You may also need a kitchen knife and some measuring spoons.
Ingredients You’ll Need
Cut Green Beans:
You’ll need three cans of cut green beans. You’ll drain the juice out of every can but one.
Bacon:
I used 3-4 strips of bacon. It can be any flavor or thickness.
Soy Sauce:
I used a dash of soy sauce. It just adds a hint of savoriness.
Seasonings:
For seasonings, you’ll need salt, pepper, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, and brown sugar.
