Ingredients You’ll Need…

Like it says in the title, this recipe literally only calls for TWO ingredients. That’s it. No spices or seasonings. Just two main ingredients. Smoked sausage and sweet and sour sauce. So, I used the brand La Choy sweet and sour sauce. It comes bottled at any local grocery store. Then I used Down Home brand smoked sausage. For this recipe, I used regular. However, you could always use the hot flavor. It’s up to you!

Shopping List:

Step by Step How to Make These Easy Smoked Sausage Appetizers

Step 1

Slice smoked sausage into 1/2 inch rounds. Place them in the saucepan on medium heat. Let them sauté in the pan for around 5-8 minutes. The grease of the sausage will start to burn off. Empty the sausage onto a plate lined with several sheets of paper towels, then pat the sausages with a paper towel to soak off as much of the grease as possible. Make sure no grease remains in the pot.

Step 2

Add the sausage back into the pan. You can turn the heat up to high. The rounds will start to char and sear on the outsides. Once the rounds have a nice sear, add in the sweet and sour sauce. Stir for a minute or two then empty to serve plate. Serve with toothpicks and enjoy!
