Need a Fun Cocktail for 4th of July?

When thinking of alcoholic 4th of July drinks, this one is at the top of the list. It’s so fun and easy, plus super festive.

It’s so light and refreshing

With vodka lemonade recipes, the possibilities are never-ending. I love this drink because it’s so light for summertime. It’s been over 100 degrees here in Louisiana late, and this is the perfect way to cool down and break the heat.

It’s Festive

Everybody loves red white and blue alcoholic drinks for 4th of July. This one is so fun and festive. Plus, it’s so much easier than making Jello shots or something of that nature. This one only takes 5 minutes or less to make!

Equipment You’ll Need

If you’ve followed my blog, you’ll know I used a mason jar for so many things. This drink is no different. You can get them anywhere, they’re cheap, and they’re just fun and cute. I loved making this cocktail in one! You’ll need a glass, a stirrer, and maybe a jigger. I typically “eyeball” all of my ingredients, but you can measure them out if you want.

Ingredients You’ll Need

Ice:

I started the recipe with a full glass of ice. I like it full, because it’s summer and you want it to stay as cold as possible. Also, a full glass of ice helps hold the cute popsicle up too!

Vodka:

I like Tito’s Vodka. That’s just me. You can use whatever your preference is. However, be careful if you’re not normally a vodka drinker! Get something higher quality! Trust me…

Lemonade:

I used a storebought refrigerated lemonade. I think it was the Simply Lemonade brand. However, you can use Minute Maid, the powder mix, real, homemade lemonade or even Crystal Light. It’s up to you.

Sparkling Water:

I topped off the rest of my drink with a little Topo Chico. You can use whatever you like. Club Soda. Tonic. It’s all practically the same concept.

Red, White and Blue Popsicle:

I used just a generic red, white and blue popsicle. You can use those firecracker pops as well!
